Interventional Physical Therapy

Interventional Physical Therapy is an alternative to insurance based Physical Therapy and Wellness.

What is Interventional Physical Therapy?

Interventional Physical Therapy can best be described as advanced treatment methods that, although approved for clinical use, have not been approved for payment by insurance payers.  You may ask, why don't insurance companies pay for these services if they are so good?  Let me jump on a soapbox for a moment to explain.

Interventional Physical Therapy treatments are used to eliminate pain and inflammation as well as using the body's intrinsic healing capabilities to regenerate damaged tissue.  Insurance companies would prefer that you simply go on medications, have surgeries or injections (which they can control or deny) than you taking charge of your own health and bypassing the 'big-medicine, pharm, and insurance' system.  They don't want you to fix your problem, they want you on a lifetime management plan.  Therefore, they wont pay for them.  It's that simple.

Focused Shockwave Therapy

High energy convergent acoustic waves that stimulate the cells and the body’s intrinsic healing mechanism of stem cell proliferation and differentiation through a process called mechanotransduction.  In Extracorporeal Focused Shock Wave Therapy, the wave is focused through a lens and transmitted into the body, up to a depth of about 4.7 inches, short treatment time, non-invasive, and results in a few treatments

Neuromuscular Dry Needling

Treating the structure that is not allowing proper movement is the goal of Dry Needling. When properly applied, pain quickly subsides, and corrective movements are more easily adopted. Pain is also addressed with dry needling and all the other tools we have, because we know that proper movement will not happen when pain is on board.

High Intensity Laser Therapy

Laser therapy generates a photochemical response in damaged tissue by a process called photobiomodulation. This process stimulates healing on a cellular level by enabling cells to more rapidly produce energy (ATP).
